HOW TO ENTER

Upload .docx, .doc, .pdf, or .rtf files only. (If you are submitting multiple poems, please attach them as a single file.)

Entries will be read anonymously (blindly). For that reason, do not include any identifying information on the manuscript or file name. MANUSCRIPTS WITH IDENTIFYING INFO WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE CONTEST.

You will be prompted to pay the entry fee through a secure, online credit-card transaction.

All manuscripts uploaded by 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time) on March 15 will be considered.

--There is no word limit, but keep in mind that the entire journal is only about 100 pages.

--We ask that contributors wait at least a year before submitting new work.

--Please submit no more than one story at a time. (If you are submitting flash fiction, you may submit up to three pieces in a single document.)
--Simultaneous submissions are welcome; please notify us right away (and withdraw your story) if the work is accepted elsewhere.
--We will do everything possible to read, deliberate on, and respond to your work promptly, usually within eight weeks. If you have not heard from us in five months (or four, if you're feeling antsy), feel feel free to contact us about the status of your submission.
--We really, really wish we could pay our contributors. At this time, the Editors' Prize winners receive $500. Otherwise, we pay in copies. Extremely wonderful copies. We will also boast about you and your work to the world.
--Rights revert to the author upon publication. Please acknowledge Jabberwock Review if your story subsequently appears in an anthology or book.
